Anyone running the rubicon express 2.5 inch budget coil kit? I really like their stuff, but dont hear much about them, it seems like people are so gung ho about rk aev and metalcloak for their jks, just curious about this lift. Thanks!

Nope, don't have any Rubicon express stuff.. but it isn't mainstream anymore thats for sure.. I do recall a time when it was all the rage.. at least from where I seen stuff posted about their products.
I believe at that time, we drove the ole 99 TJ and I wanted the "Black Diamond" kit.. they grown sort of obsolete as well.. I do tend to go against the grain on products like this.

Rubicon Express is not bad. The coils tend to be a super light weight. If you plan on loading up the Jeep with tons of bumpers and dead weight, steer clear. Otherwise these are a decent option.

I run it with the mono shocks, I'm happy with it, much better ride. I'm running a 2door frameless soft top, and i don't run a spare on the jeep unless I throw it in the back. I got right at the 2.5" out of it. The track bar bracket for the rear made for a perfect fit which was nice not to have to mess around with.
The shocks are made by bilstein for RE. I haven't rode in or had a different set up, but definitely better than stock or my previous frankenlift I had before.

I run the 2.5" setup and have a warn front bumper with a winch and it really sags in the front. If you plan to run full width front bumper with a winch I'd get different springs. I'm getting the OME heavy load front springs tomorrow. Overall, for a simple kit it isn't bad.

I run the 2.5" coils on a 2 door. They're certainly not as tall or stiff as some other companies coils, but i've been building my rig as light as possible and for that they work great. Swapping these in from a set of really tired old Sport model coils, I definitely noticed a firmer ride which I like. I don't plan on adding full size, heavy bumpers so I can't comment on how they would sag under those conditions but I like them for my needs.

I have their 4-link 3.5in kit on my rig. You can not beat their warranty and support, which is just as important as the product itself. No sag and I have a lot of extra weight from modifications.

I have their 3.5" budget kit springs and track bar, added some RC control arms, and guess what? It ain't RK, Synergy, or offroad Evo, but it works just fine.

I've seen the 2.5" w/ rebranded 5100's gain some traction this year. People seam to be happy.
