Guys, about to buy a lockpick V5, that was originally installed on a 2011 dodge ram with the 430N radio.

I have that same radio, but read that the lockpick V5 on pre-2013 radios, will not work with 2013 and up, due to reprograming.

So has anyone installed a pre-2013 lockpick on their 2013-up with success.

I do not want to have to reprogram the lockpick myself.

Disreguard, I called coastal tech and they confirmed it won't work.

 

Don't know about the comparability but when I installed the lock pick in my 2012 I had to update the firmware. Called them and they emailed me the zip file that got installed on a cd/DVDs. Just insert into player in jeep and let it do its stuff. Not hard.
