Default Heavy bumpers on stock suspension

Just installed smittybilt front and rear bumpers and a winch. My suspension and wheels are stock for now. The ride is very harsh and sluggish after the install. Will this effect anything on my jeep till I lift it? Will lifting it and bigger tires show improvement? Thanks everyone👍

Weight is your enemy, lift will do almost nothing to make the ride better unless you are bottoming out the suspension which should not be the case. A taller wider tire will improve ride quality due to added width to the track and your tire pressure may need to be adjusted. Bigger tires will however just make the sluggish feel worse without a gear swap. Smittybilt bumpers are really not that heavy since they use pretty thin metal and you can save weight (as well as being much safer) by using synthetic line on the winch.

Thanks for the help. What should the tire psi be with heavy bumpers and winch?

I added a one inch spring spacer to the front springs. Rides much better and levels you out.

I have to agree with Dirtman. Not sure how adding that 1" without changing coils, shocks, or bushings are getting better ride unless you were slamming the bumpstops.

To the OP, you should be fine until you lift your jeep.
