Rock hard - The thing is indestructible. I sat my jeep on the spare on the carrier plenty of times. It hold my 35 with room to grow.

I have the OR-FAB carrier that holds the full size Gerry cans. I've had this for several years now and have nothing but great things to say. We often go on long back road drives and the ability to carry 10 extra gallons of fuel has come in very handy.

Carrier easily handles my 35" tire, 10 gal of fuel and Hi Lift jack.

I just installed the AEV mount on my stock bumper. So far, I love it! No rattles. The weight is off the tailgate hinges! I like how it swings with the tailgate. The grease zerk is a nice option so the hinge bushings should last for a great while.

Body Armor rear tire carrier. I like it because it uses wheel bearings in the carrier. Some people have problems because they don't pack the bearings but if you do it works great and will last years. I also like how it doesn't stick out like most bumpers so I have never got it hung on a rock ledge or a hill. It also has add ons for gas cans and high lift jack.

Only problem, I have the old model so the new one fixed this, it rubs on the factory tag mount. I relocated my tag to the spare tire. I also had to use a spacer to get the factory wheel and 35 to mount up not sure if the new model addressed that or not.

My custom slanted tire carrier for the Trektop. I love it. There is a little rattle in the back from how it is seated but I just turn the music up a little bit and I can't hear it. Don't have use of the rear view mirror but I got used to it. Looks awesome and I get complements on it all the time. I just have to hope I don't get a flat tire because getting that heavy Toyo off the carrier by myself is probably impossible. I can post more pics if people are interested.

I've got the Teraflex carrier and love it. No extra things to swing or worry about

I have the Body Armor 4x4 rear bumper/tire carrier and depsite some negative reviews online (and alot of positive ones), i LOVE IT!

No rattles, no squeeks, swing opens and closes smoothly and lines up perfectly when closing, A+ powdercoat. The latch is a little janky but easy fix with a quick mod (zoom in first pic to see:drilling hole and installing drop pin to keep it secured). The handle was also chrome with a red handle so i painted it black and plastidip black the handle (not pictured). turned out fantastic. You really cant beat it for the price. it is predrilled for high lift jack and jerry can holders too. i think i paid $700 shipped and i cant see what a more expensive bumper would offer that mine doesnt provide.
