I'm due for new tires and have decided on 285/75/17 KM2's . My question is can I mount that size tire on my stock Moab rims without using spacers ?
- 2013 Rubicon with stock suspension - Any help would be greatly appreciated !

 

FWIW, I had 285/70/17 KM2's on stock Moabs, they fit just fine. I have Spydertrax spacers, but I'm not 100% sure they were needed to prevent any rubbing for that size tire, I put than on as soon as I got home from the tire shop and have never taken them off. That size is only slightly larger than a stock Rubi KM if I remember right. Hope this helps.

 

I needed spacers and used spidertrax 1.5" on my 14 rubicon. I ultimately ended up going to a wider rim with less backspacing. here is the comparison. they are a lot bigger then stock. The ones mounted on jeep are 275/70-17. They rubbed on sway bar and very close to the driver side rear lower control arm without spacers.

 

I put 315/70 17 on stock rims with 1.5" spacers and 2"bb and they work great! Trimmed the air dam that's it

 

Thanks for the info everyone. I might just hold off another month and get the AEV wheels with new rubber all at the same time so there's no issues.

 

If you are going to play in the rocks I would skip the AEV's if you are thinking of getting pintlers. If I had to do it over I would go another route.

 

If you go AEV wheels... The Savegre's are strong and will not have cracking issues and look great! Just my .02
