Default 36x13.50x17 IROKs

Does any one think that 36x13.50x17 IROKs will fit on stock rubicon wheels? i kinda like the wheels and if i scratch them all to hell i wont feel so bad i just dont know if the width is too wide for the 8 inch rim. i know you can do 12.50 on a 8 inch.

Stock Rubicon wheels are 17X7.5" not 8". I think that 13.5" tires on 7.5" wheels is pushing it a bit. 12.5's on an 8" rim is fine though.

People do it...it fits, works off road, etc.

The side walls protect the rims somewhat - on road, the wider the rim, the less squirrely the sidewall squirm/roll is...so its a compromise.

Some tires are more senstive to the rim width, others are pretty flexible about their mounting ranges.

When the tire makers give a rim range recommendation, is street based, and doesn't take into account the compromises an off road user might be willing to make, etc.
