Quick M116A3 Trailer build
Well I have been planning to build another offroad trailer. Came across a smoking deal on a few M116a3 trailers. These are a great platform to start with and can be picked up on the cheap.
Crappiest part is the under the CARC paint the bodies are Galvanized and undercoated so the fumes are rough welding the new box on.
Best part was the trailers were 3 blocks from the house.
Got them back to the shop.

A few hours at the DMV and were all registered and legal.

Time to get to work and prepping them for the cargo boxes.

Starting to look like a trailer.

Tonneau fits great

Had to go pick up a third M116A3

And boom shes ready for paint. Cut the corners off for a cleaner look.

Pic of what the uncut corner looked like

Trailer worked great on a 8 hour drive to go pick up another set of one ton axles.

Will do. For the price I got these for it would be difficult to even build the axle and add 37s with beadlocks to a trailer. They pop up on ebay and the Govliquidation site alot.
Not much new to report, but trailer number two is coming along nicely. I should have it done by this weekend and painted. This one is an exact copy of the black one I posted earlier. We will be hauling both of these out to death valley for thanksgiving!
