Default Accupro or Hypertech?

Is the Hypertech worth the extra $179? I want to re calibrate for 35's. Does the Accupro do shift points for auto? What about warrenty? Can you flash it out so the dealer cant tell its been there? Im sure they would deny an engine claim with a tuner on it.

I wonder the same ... is it worth it for an 8-11 horsepower increase? Also, do you get a worthwhile MPG boost?

I get my new wheels and 35's tomorrow, so I will be making this same decision tomorrow.

I bought the Hypertech Speedometer Calibrator from Northridge 4X4. It worked great on my 08 Unlimited X. I believe it can be upgraded to the Power Tuner on line.

I'm thinking about the hypertech, also. Is it difficult to program? Did you notice a significant power increase? Thanks.

I havent installed it yet because I have to bring my jeep to dealer, but you return the jeep to stock settings with the hypertech before you bring it in for service other wise the dealers computer cant do anything with the hypertech progaming, it is very easy to update, just make sure after you install the software on your computer that you update that before updating the actual unit

Accupro and Hypertech are the same thing. Hypertech makes them. The speedo calibration is VERY NICE and easy on all their units. I just got the Max Energy (yes the expensive one) but I'll tell you, I'm pleasantly surprised! It was a very noticable seat of the pants difference in torque in the low end! Which is exactly where I like it!

NONE OF THESE ALLOW YOU TO CHANGE SHIFT POINTS! If the shift points don't change due to the recalibration of the tire size, you CAN NOT customize it! I know the box says you can, but it also says on certain model vehicles! JK is not one of them!

As per MPG gains.... I'm trying to figure it out as I think thats important. And please don't flame me for saying that. There is not a thing wrong with loving a JK and trying to make it as fuel economic as you can with the big tires you want!

I agree. Enough people complained about the Jeep's D30s front & rear long enough that they are now equipped with the D44's

No body was saying then that it's a Jeep thing get over it.
