What's the complete list of mods required for a no- break experience on a stock rubi jk ? For a 4.5 with 37s. DD only.

 

Daily driver - meaning you aren't throwing it on a trailer and towing it to every trail, right? How about a budget and actual intended use? Or maybe a more realistic question? There are two threads stuck right to the top of this modified area that might be a real good start on answering some of the questions.

 

I have a 10000 budget. I want 37s and an AEV 4.5. I will driving around town and on interstate. What is most crucial to mod a stock rubi in this instance?

A 'no-break' build for 10k? That's your new front axle.


But realistically, replace when you have a problem, don't just throw money at it. Read up on gear swaps to see what ratio you want to go with. Make a habit of crawling underneath and checking the driveshaft joints. You need to run lower backspacing on the rims to clear the bigger tires, so watch the crappy plastic balljoints and the hubs. Stock rear axle flanges aren't really known for their strength. Either are the C's. You might even do some research on the various front housing upgrades to get a handle on the different options and opinions.

Lol, you caught me while I was editing. Probably no need to replace anything until there is actually a reason to do so. (though it may not be a bad idea to go ahead and gusset? Opinions vary) Just do a bunch of reading on the various problems that you could possibly run into so you have some idea of what you will want to do if/when.

And yeah, get a handle on the fact that "no-break" is not a realistic goal, even for on-road only driving.

 

I just really don't want to break a brand new 2015 rubi by lifting it and driving around town
