Default Stock rear bumper mod

Has anyone chopped the stock rear bumper to make it more like a stubby? If so, how was the process/can you post some pics plz.

The notching is to fit inside the remaining bumper and you can decide how much to shorten each side; I chose to keep them even with the body. I used exploding back rivets as getting backers in would be impossible.

I did this on my last JK and would never do it again. Just didn't like the looks of it. Plus, with the bumper trimmed down you throw mud and rocks into and on your trailer. Bad idea.
