Default 35's with 4.1 gears in a 2014 rubicon unlimited

Is this safe? These are the factory gears with auto trans but have heard alot of people say i need to go to 4.56-4.88 gears to retain everything, gas mileage,hp etc?

4.10s are fine with 35s. 4.56s will get you back to stock ratio, and 4.88s will give you better crawling ratio. Depends on what type of wheelin you want to do.

I run 4.10s in my 2012 auto 4 door without a problem. I would say 4.56 would be the best for a DD.

i have 35s.

I like the 4.10 with 37". It's flat where I live though. I regeared my 13 auto on 37 to 4.88 and regretted it till the day I sold it. 2800 rpm running 75 down the interstate was too much.

I have 38x15.5x20'S ON THE STOCK 4:10'S and its more than livable. I will probably re-gear after EVERYTHING else is done but your more than fine on 35's.

I would recommend you may want to get a AEV ProCal or similar module, so you can adjust your speedo to be correct, as well as reset the auto trans shift points.

Good luck with your build.

If you regear a programmer is necessary since the newer jeeps go into limp mode if you change the gear ratio without one.
