Default Kilby Trail Boss Shock Skid Plates

Just installed the new Kilby Trail Boss Shock Skids. Here are a few pictures.

So far so good. I will trail trial these on Saturday and report any problems. They seem very sturdy and do not reduce ground clearance by much (maybe 1/4").

I ordered them straight from Kilby Enterprises, that is the only place I could find them. They are a new part item. $139. In talking with other peoples, Hummer people, I think Rancho may have something similar just not for the JK at this point.

I do a lot of rock crawling and have smashed up my shock mounts pretty good. You normally don't hear the damage when you hit these on the trail. If you slide off a rock to the inside of the tire you will bump the bracket. Of all the spots that have scraped on my underside it is these d@mn shock brackets.

These are a good idea..however, kilby needs to get with it. I said this in a previous post...they are over charging you out the wazzooo for those things. You can spend 30$, and get some relocation brackets from Rock Crawler, have more axle drop in the rear, and they wont get hung up on anything any more

it would make more sense to relocate your shock bracket

Default relocate

Were does it relocate them? How does it provide more articulation? I was thinking of getting these too. Love to be able to cut the cost and get more droop?

Thanks

It puts them on top of the axle...wouldnt that cause the axle to drop more ?? as the mount is up 3" higher??
