Default Shrockworks delays?

Anyone else heard about production delays and slow orders at Shrockworks? I ordered a bumper about 8 weeks ago, called them on week 4 and was told the parts were on back order for another 2-3 weeks. About 2 weeks ago I heard they had trouble with their laser cutter and to expect further delays. I emailed Shrockworks yesterday morning and have not heard anything back. Anyone who ordered a bumper with the expectation of having it in 3-4 weeks as listed on their site is probably out of luck. I like their gear and I hope they get things works out.

Its probably due to the fact that I want a Shrockworks shorty bumper now....
That would be just my luck they're having problems filling their orders in a decent time

Maybe I'll look into the Teraflex or LoD bumpers...

Production delays are nothing new with them. Just take the low end of their range and multiple it by two and the high range and multiple that by three to get a better idea when you'll get your bumper. So, if they say 6-8 weeks you can figure 12-24 weeks.

Ahhhh...That Sucks! Is this typical for many other builders or just Shrockworks?

Thanks for the heads up!

In custom manufacturing it's been my observation that you can at least double the provided lead time. But, I cannot say for sure with other Jeep aftermarket part manufacturers. Shrockworks is the company I have experience with.

I have not worked with custom auto component builders in the past so my expectations for their stated turn around time maybe a little unrealistic. Thanks for the advice.

The Poison Spyder stuff for the JK is going that way too. Was supposed to be going out around mid Feb and the latest update is end of March(if I'm lucky!)I'll just be happy to get their stuff by May.

I put off ordering for just that reason. I hate media blitz on advertising then a several month wait.
