Default Superwinch

I'm in the market for winch finally. Woo hoo!!!! Now I know there are numerous discussions about what brand, but I don't see much about superwinch. A good friend of mine had one and loved it, plans on installing another one on his new JKU. I'm looking for more reviews, if the money is worth spending on the Talon model over the Tiger Shark model and real life experiences. Thanks in advance guys, really appreciated.

The Superwinch EPI series was my favorite all time winch. They don't make it anymore but I had one in three different jeeps. Can't speak for current models but that was an awesome winch.

I have a superwinch tiger shark 9500 and am very happy with it. I was on a trail with anther jeeper that had a different brand winch that was new also. He would have to fight his to get it to unspoil. Also his winch clutch lever would move.

Mine just seemed easier to use

The Superwinch EP & EPI winches were manufactured by ComeUp Winch. After ComeUp stopped supplying Superwinch with the EP series they began distributing their winches in the US under their own name. The DV & DVi series are the same as the EP & EPI series. ComeUp also offers their Seal Series winches which meet IP68 standards, meaning they are waterproof. They also have a patented brake design that is outside of the drum, ideal for keeping heat away from synthetic rope. Here is an example of how well the brake works.
