Default Worth plasti dipping 4x4 wheels?

Hey all

Ive been thinking of plasti dipping my wranglers wheels for a bit of a change, however not sure if its a good idea or not. My partner and i have done it on our previous smaller sports car but it never went through the rough and tumble the 4x4 goes through.

has anyone done it? how many cans did you go through? and did you get many chips on the paint?

I have seen several folks in my club do this and has looked good so far. I have actually sprayed one of my extra rims, but have not finished yet. I plan on doing them black and red inside the triangle of the factory wheels.

If you like the black wheel look go for it. 1 can per wheel. You can always peel it if you don't like.

Try the SEARCH function or Google. There's a lot of threads here about plastidip. Lots of info. Good luck.

Mine were done over a year ago and I'm a weekend warrior if you will. Work consumes most of my life and then family events. Lol

I plasti dipped my wheels last year. Have since changed tires and the plasti dip didn't peel off. Used 1 can per tire and its held up very well.

oh ok awesome, thanks guys! the black/smoke does look good. I'm still tossing up on black or white.. my wrangler is black so not sure whether black on black will look better than black on white.

thoughts?
