Default El Cheapo Seat Heaters

My cold butt has been telling me to look for a set of seat heaters for my 13 JK. Most JK specific sets run around $200 per seat. Then I noticed these universal kits all over eBay for around $60-80 for 2 seats. Here is one example.

Has anyone bought one of these cheap universal kits? If so, would you recommend them?

I haven't used this exact type (I don't ussually buy off ebay) But I did get some universal marine seat heaters off Amazon for around that price. I have them in the back seat of my Rubicon and in the front of my wife's Sport.

Make sure the ones you get can handle getting wet just in case you are caught in rain with the top off/back.

I have used the ones off eBay that have the VW jetty style controls, with 0-5 controls per seat, I had them in my tj for 4 years with no issues, and 2nd year in my jk. In both jeeps, I buy two kits so all 4 seats are heated, makes it awesome for doorless wheeling when it is only 32 degrees. The kits were $75 for 2 seats, 5 year warranty

I've used the generic heaters in a couple of Fords and they work well.
I looked at the Jeep specific heaters and I like that they have plug and play wiring and are pre-cut to clear the internal velcro of the seat cover, but not the price.

While I am making up my mind over which to get or not I ordered one of these and it works well.

Thanks. I was hoping they had decent results, I just didn't want to rip everything apart then be wrong.

One thing I did with mine was, I installed the heating elements to the inside of my seat covers, so I didn't have to take the seats apart. Did the same thing in my tj.

I did not go for the. Aftermarket I bit the bullet and purchased one from Jeep directly and couldn't be happier with the results 3 levels of heat and they are the first seat heat I have ever had that I need to turn off they gets so hot ! Easier plug and play install hardest part was taking off the seat covers but all in all only took about 3 hrs to complete

Try this thread https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/jk-w...lation-172773/
There are several write ups from those who've used them and waterproof is a nice thing in a Jeep.
