Default Teraflex tire carrier 3rd brake light

What are people doing with the 3rd brake light after you install the TF tire carrier . That mount TF gives you to mount it to the front of the tire looks cheesy to me and out of place .

I tossed the Teraflex third light brakes and bought some lug lights. I think there are a lot of better ways to have a third brake like instead of the Teraflex one. My opinion..

The lug nut lights may be more versatile. My new rims don't allow the AEV CHMSL to align exactly straight. It does work though and is visible.

Their latest version puts the light & plate on the same mount, the light atop the plate. It looks much better. I wanted a license plate light, so I adapted the ORO LitePLATE to the TF bracket.

Not really easy to see it, but I have the Rock Hard/Off Road Only relocation kit and light.

Bright and functional.

I have mine mounted, using with the new teraflex mount, in the middle if the spare tire. Is did require me to remove the center cap on the spare. In my opinion, it looks better that the stock set up.

We've had great luck with the lug nut light kits. Easy install and good price

If you like the stock look of the 3rd brake light, TF actually makes a stock style 3rd brake light bracket for the tire carrier / hinge system. It's not expensive at all compared to the rest of the system, and it's adjustable for all kinds of tire sizes and simple install. Running it on mine because I've never been a fan of having the light on my spare. All personal preference...
