Was looking at the site, did not have any info on what it does. Is it suppose to eliminate the drive by wire lag What are the advantages of getting this? Thanks...

If I'm not mistaken, it's an electric hand throttle. One foot on the clutch, one on the brake and then you can control the gas by hand.

Yep, that's what it's for. Also useful when winching to keep the rpms up for better charging from the alternator.

And yes, very $$$. You could do this mod on earlier Jeeps for probably $10.

Default Why couldn't you use a modified "old" version?

Couldn't you just use the old version setup but instead of going to the engine throttle connector. connect it to the bottom of the gas pedal looping through a small eye bolt - bolted to the floor?

I have so many things on my list (2 Wranglers will do that!!) I havn't had time to test or even look into it. but I would prob try this if I had time.

Default Electonic Hand Throttle

I called and got some info about this today. Doesn't seem pricey now that I know what it does. It actually controls idle RPMs with a toggle switch so you don't have to use the gas while crawling. You can also raise the level up for winching and OBA.

It is a bit pricey, but it's probably a quality product. Not only that, but if you GOTTA have one, that's the only one there is. LOL
