Default Cam bolt elimator kit

I've had the Synergy cam bolt eliminator kit in my garage waiting to install, and had a couple questions first.

I've heard some suggest that the washers be at least tack welded onto the control arm mounts, but could I use some kind of epoxy instead? Or would they be fine to install on their own?

not sure how the Synergy washers are but AEV includes washers with their geo bracket for people who have previously used cam bolts and they can be used without tack welding tho they recommend it. seems like as long as the washers where thick enough not to bend you would be ok with just jb welding in place.

Find a local welder and do it right. JB weld doesn't belong on suspension parts IMO.

I agree 100% but all the tack weld is doing is holding the washer in place while you run the bolt thru. AEV says you can or can not tack weld it so I figure it is not that critical.

Thanks for the help guys. The axle side control arm mounts are already notched for the cam bolt washers, so I may just use JB weld or a metal epoxy

My jeep had a rough country kit on it with cam bolts. I bought some teraflex rectangular washers that are supposed to fit in the notched out hole for the cam bolts. Supposed to fill the hole and recenters the bolt. I haven't installed yet. Seemed like the best option but I assume depends on the accuracy of the previous installer on the notched they cut. They were cheap so if they don't work, it's not the end of the world.

sent from my work leash

My feelings exactly. The synergy washers are round instead of rectangular, but still do the same thing

There's no need to weld (or glue) the Synergy cam bolt eliminators. They fit tightly between the axle bracket tabs. When the bolts are tightened down they aren't going anywhere. Before I upgraded my front housing I ran them for 30k miles and the axle never budged.
