Default Diablo Intune verus Diablo Predator w/ Ripp Long-Tubes

I was getting ready to take the plunge on a set of headers for my 2010 JKU from Ripp, but after checking their website it appears that they are out of stock. So I headed over to Northridge to check out their inventory. They have the headers available, but I noticed that they appear to be including a tuner that is different than the one included with the package from Ripp. I also noticed that Northridge left the additional 38 HP that Ripp claims is yielded with their tuner, out of the product description on their website:

Northridge Description:
Hp Gains:
* 134 Rear Wheel HP Stock Manifolds, Cats and Exhaust
* 170lbs/ft of Torque
Headers (Stock Exhaust)
* 150 Rear Wheel HP
* 200lbs/ft of Torque

Ripp Description:
Stock HP/Trq:
•134 Rear Wheel HP Stock Manifolds, Cats & Exhaust
•170lbs/ft of Torque

RIPP Headers (Stock Exhaust)
•150 Rear Wheel HP
•188lbs/ft of Torque

*RIPP Headers and Diablo Tuner:
•188 Rear Wheel HP
•200lbs/ft of Torque

Is the difference above related entirely to the tune provided by Ripp being different than the one provided by Northridge? Did Northridge test the claims made by Ripp and find them to be overstated? Or was this just a copy and paste mistake in the description?

Not a big deal as I can just order the headers from Northridge and the tune from Ripp separately... just curious.

Thanks in advance!!!

Diablo no longer makes a Predator. It was discontinued probably about 3 years ago at this point. The basic tool they sell now is an Intune.

The difference could just be the type of dyno each of them is using. If one is using a Dynojet and the other is using a Mustang or Superflow dyno. I wouldn't read much into it.

Once you have the RIPP Long Tube Headers, and the Intune, you can drive the jeep for say 200 miles or less and then save the data and send it to RIPP they will make modifications based off of your specific Jeep. Even though there the same engines there are slight variations in the engine, i.e. injectors, intakes, spark plug gapping, etc. It may not be much gain but they can adjust your tune for better performance. They did this with my jeep. Hope that gives you a little bit more info. That was something that was not discussed nor covered in the installation of any RIPP products.
