Default Rock-Trac NV241 or 4.56??

I have a 2014 Sahara (3.73) running 35s and I'm debating which to do first. Re gear to 4.56 or upgrade my transfer case to the 4:1 rock-trac. Don't want to spend the $ to do both right now. ANY THOUGHT? ADVICE?

I would think it would depend the type of off roading you plan on doing.

Nothing crazy, just some simple trails but want to be able to get up the hill (mountain) if I need to.

I could always use more, but I'm overall satisfied with my on road power/performance

Gears will be used 100% of the time. The t-case, how often? 5%? 2%?

If you are happy with on road performance, I would say to the T case. I have done both, and the T case is a great upgrade.

I would do the gears. You'll get better performance for the 95% of your driving. Plus they will help a bit Offroad also not quite as much as the t case but mildly in the same way. This is a no brainer!

I would so the T-Case. Your gear change isn't enough to make a huge difference on the road, but the T-case will make a HUGE difference on the trail.

Thanks for all the advice. I think I'm going with the T-case now, gears later. I understand it's only for about 5% of the time, but the more I read about the big difference it makes, I think that's most urgent and most important to me. Thanks again for the fast replies!!
