I have been searching for a good. clean solution to mounting my front license plate (required here in Texas) while having a Factor 55 Prolink thimble and hawse fairlead. I came across the following product and was curious if any others have seen this or use it. Any thoughts on this product from your initial review (used or not)? Thanks.

Any thoughts on having the thimble pointing up (I guess you could have it facing down)?

 

Is the winch recessed or mounted on top of the bumper?

 

Winch is mounted in a JCR Crusader mid width bumper and is semi recessed.

 

Personally I would just drill two holes for the license plate and call it a day. Don't see a reason to spend $170 to mount a license plate.

 

I sandwiched my license plate between my orfab bumper and fairlead and it has plowed through ice filled puddles no problem. It did bend the plate back to form up to my bumper, but its been like that for a year.
