It reads like it is for remotely adjusting the shocks.
But I don't see how with no electrical motor or even a connection ???

Take your Rancho RS9000 ride control one step further by allowing independent adjustment of front or rear shocks. Provides full adjustment from inside the vehicle even while it is moving. Installs easily with all Rancho RS9000 Shocks and can be retrofitted to any existing RS9000 Shock installation. The Remote can independently adjust rebound and compression damping of front and rear shocks. The one-touch control panel with dual gauges allows precise control. Detailed instructions plus all hardware for an easy do-it-yourself RS9000 shocks are sold separately. Will only work with Rancho RS9000 Shocks!

The system removes the knobs from each shock and uses an air compressor/air lines to actuate them? Probably having issues getting it all to work right?

It used to be available and was pretty cool from what I've heard. When I told a friend I was going to order the 9000xl's, he told me he ran them with the remote adjustment and could play with settings on the fly. But that was some years back

Well I finally found some info on it "Rancho My Ride".

Looks like an awesome system, but apparently they had to many issues.

Guess I'll go with manual adjustments.
