Default Recommended 2.5" lifts?

Was thinking about spending around $800 or so for a 2.5" lift for my 07 JK. Any recommendations? Or any lifts/brands to stay away from. It will be casual wheeled, nothing major and be driven daily.

Open the FAQ's and Thought On Lifts threads stuck right to the top of this modified area. Get a handle on what the various components do, and why you might (or might not) want them.

Some kits are less expensive for a reason. They may be missing some components you want, or may include less expensive ways of correcting an issue, or contain coils or shocks that haven't gotten the best reviews. Then again, you may be perfectly happy with what a kit offers, so just a suggestion to have an idea of what you are actually buying before pulling out the credit card.

As far as specific suggestions go, many people are happy with an inexpensive 2-2.5" spacer lift. They add some height without going up to the range where a lot of expensive mods may be needed.

We could recommend kits all day. I'd recommend trying to learn as much as you can reading a few threads to get an idea of how it all works. You can then make a more informed decision on it and what would suit your needs and budget.

There's a bazillion threads floating around here though answering your questions. See what you can dig up using the search feature.

Long term recommendation : I've had the Teraflex 2.5" coil spring lift kit with 35s for years, easy install at home and zero problems. Many kits are similar, save the worry and go with this kit and then move on to the next upgrade mod.

X2. AEV rides awesome on and off-road. A little more expensive, but worth it.
