Fox 2.0 SS went poof
Driving home from work yesterday I noticed I had a bit more bump steer and didn't think much of it besides its a Jeep and it does something new every other day. This morning I went to flush my rad and noticed the SS no longer has its cap attached or fluid in it which I assume is pink judging by the frozen little droplets. Can't think of when this would of happened as no ones pointed out any random pink puddle on a trail and I haven't noticed it anywhere.
I'm confident I installed it correctly as it is rather basic of an install and only thing to watch out is that it is not over compressing or extending. Which I did. I tried it now as well to see how close it gets to the end and it shouldn't have knocked it off.
The SS is only about 5-6 months old, fox warranty their stuff? No way this should crap out this early without taking any hits.

They're pretty good with their warranty. My ATS clamp came apart at the factory connection and trashed the stabilizer.
Called them. Sent them pics and sent it back. I think all they want is proof of the date you got it.
They should have the shock back on Monday, so I'll know more then.
Seems like they're having a little QC problem at Fox right now.

Fox is great about their warranties and has always replied to us quickly in those rare instances that we have to deal with a warranty. This looks like a defect in the snap ring that holds the seal housing in the shock. A shock boot would not make a difference in this application as the snap ring was the unhappy part.

Shock boots suck. They do more damage than good. The crap gets inside and stays there.
If you use your Jeep regularly, salt doesn't have enough time to cause pitting. It constantly gets wiped away.
I run all my shocks and stabilizer without boots with no issues.

Just wanted to updated that the guys at Fox and ORW took care of me and all is good!
Looks like my previous one was overcharged as it would extend on its own. This one has equal resistance both directions and doesn't move on its own
