Help with my weekend project. teraflex 2.5 BB
This weekend I plan on installing the teraflex 2.5 BB on my 2dr JK. So I may be back and forth with questions.
My first question is, how high do my jack stands and jack need to be able to lift? I have jack stands already that seem pretty tall but I am out right now looking for a jack and want to make sure I get one that lifts high enough.
Any tricks you can give for a one person, driveway install will be greatly appreciated.

I used 6 ton stands because they have good height. And a floor jack. That was all I needed for a MC 2.5" GC OME edition by myself so you should be good with those. If your floor jack is a little low you can add some wood. Mine is a 40 year old Craftsman 2 ton and I just checked it doesn't have the height written on it anywhere so not sure what height it gets to, but it's pretty high, maybe 20". I can measure it if you need me to.

Taller/beefier stands and a jack with a higher max height would be better, but you'll be fine with whatever you have. A scrap 2x4 (or two) will let you lift higher if needed. (Many people on here have used the stock scissor jack without problem. I don't think that I would be comfortable with this, especially without stands also, but it has been done.)
Just be safe!!!!!
And if you have a Harbor Freight local to you ... go nuts! A bunch of people on here are using their 6 ton stands and rapid pump floor jack.

Harbor freight has a 2 ton jack that lifts to 23 3/4". I've been eying that one up. It's the highest lifting jack at harbor freight. It says it lifts a vehicle up to 4000 lbs. So I should be good there. I have 6 ton floor Jacks so hopefully I will be good with those.
Sounds perfect. 6 tons and a 2 ton. Worked for me.
I was able to rotate my girlfriends tires, install new shocks and longer springs with only a standard Craftsman 3 ton jack and 2 matching stands. The trick to make it simple and hassle free was to loosen all the control arms. Both axles articulated like spaghetti once the wheels were off.
