Default Power tank monster valve mini

Anyone have any experience with power tank monster valve mini's? I bought a set for $30 they looked interesting, but now that I've received them they seem to be very easy to unscrew. Figured I'd ask before I start drilling holes in brand new wheels.

I have the regular monster valves and they are freaking awesome. Not familiar with the mini valves though.

Not sure what you are asking. They install and deflate the same as the valves I use. What part is easy to unscrew and is that what you're worried about?

Whatever you do, don't run the tap too far in. You don't want the valves loose in the threads.

They are much different from the standard monster valves. The round piece turns and lets air out through a hole in the center. About half a turn on the stem and they start losing air. Maybe I'm just being paranoid but they seem to be very easy to unscrew, I'm picturing my tires airing down at an impressive rate while hitting a pothole on the highway here.

The regular valves have a similar size collar that starts to release air without turning much.

Are they used or new? If you're worried, just toss a little Teflon tape on the cap side too. I think that for peace of mind, you should just call powertank tomorrow.

They are new, the threads are internal and not accessible. Gonna give them a call, probably just order the monster valve 2's.

Keep in mind that the 2's require you dismount your tires. Otherwise, they are the same as the 1s. I debated both as I hadn't mounted my tires yet. Decided I didn't want to 1. Worry about the nut backing off inside the wheel, and 2. If somehow I did damage one or it developed an issue, I wanted to be able to just unscrew it. Having to dismount the tire seems like a pain.

The only difference with the 2s is that you don't have to tap the hole you drill.

They are bad a## and one of my favorite upgrades. The speed of deflation is insane
