Default SUPER CHARGER VS TRANSMISSIONS 2007-2011 3.8 auto
When you who've done this is the power too much for the stock auto transmission? Have any of you had trans failures as result of installing a super charger?

Add a good cooler and you should be OK.

I've had a ripp sc on my 09 auto for almost 3 years now and have never had an issue

Like anything, if you abuse it, it will break. If you treat it right, you should have no issue. Trans cooler and good fluid is a must.

had a few ripp supercharges... never had a issue.. but yes trans cooler is a great idea.

Making sure your rig is properly geared for the tire size you are running is the most important thing you can do to keep your 3.8 4 speed auto together. A trans cooler would just add that much more security in those high load situations!
