Default Rear axle brackets.

I have a Rockkrawler 3.5 lift on a 2 door. Lift has been on for about 3 years now and has performed great off-road. Yesterday I was putting a new set of Bilstiens on and noticed a few things that need to be addressed. I am still running a stock 44 in the rear. With the lift I had to rotate the axle to get the pinion right and this threw off all the brackets. I have the correction wedges for the coils but the coils still bow out. The tracbar frame mount hits the back of the bump stop. The whole axle was move back about an inch and so the combination of the move and an aftermarket bracket on the axle has my tracbar at a backwards angle instead of straight across. So here is my questions. Can the stock brackets be cut off, moved and rewelded. or will I needto get new brackets? I have seen the ones from poly performance are fairly inexpensive. Has anyone even cut off the frame side tracbar bracket and moved it back?? can that bracket be reused. Have not seen anyone making this bracket. Can all this be done under the jeep or will I need to completely pull the axle out? Any input is appreciated.

A friend of mine went through something very very similar. We ended up cutting a tab and welding it behind the factory track bar bracket (frame side) to move the track bar back far enough to clear everything. We plated it and tied into the stock bracket for strength.

As for the shock brackets, look into the EVO rockstars or something similar to lift the bracket and push mount out a bit further from the axle. The only caveat is that you have to ensure you won't over compress your shocks when stuffed.

Thanks. I will look into that. I already have rockstars. The brackets I'm looking at moving are the coil spring and bumpstop.

Yes, you can cut off the brackets and reweld, however, that won't do anything other than rotate the spring. You need something like ARTEC's rear spring perches which have a stretch position to move the spring forward. I've got a bunch of photos of my rear axle in my W.F. build thread. I actually installed mine before the axle was under the jeep and I rotated it about 5* to far forward, modified the wedges to correct and now the springs are straight as an arrow.

I misread. I thought you were having problems installing the bilsteins as well. My apologies.

As for the coils, I say cut off the factory pieces and weld a set of these on Rear JK Coil Perches and retainers

Sounds like you have RK X Factor kit. Doesn't that system come with a new perches?

No. kit came with the correction wedges. They help but the springs still have a bow to them.

If it helps, we carry several weld on brackets for shock mounts -

That must have added them. I don't have the X Factor but the instructions for my lift also had the instructions for everything that to be moved for the X Factor. Asked them for an updated version of the instructions.
