Default What wheel spacer size do you recommend?

I seem to be getting some rubbing occasionally. I have 35" Trailer Grapplers on 18" xd rockstars and a 3.5" RC lift.

I'm thinking about throwing some spacers on and I did a quick forum search which yielded no results. What do you have/recommend, 1.25", 1.5" or 2". I feel like 2 might be overkill but who knows. "Wheel spacers are the devil..etc" need not apply

Thanks

Most are 1.5" which will get you a 4.75" backspace with the stock wheels. Spider Trax are among the best available.

Both the FAQ's and Thoughts On Lifts threads, as well as many lift mfg's, suggest a 4.5" backspace for 35x12.50 tires. So why not start with : What is the backspace/offset of your current rims?

You may also want to consider where and when (what conditions) you are rubbing? Is it only on one side and not both (axle centering). On the pinch seam (trimming). Bumper (trimming). Plastic skid (rip it off). Fender flares (trim/flats/bumpstops).

Unless your rims have a stock backspacing, i would not choose 2" spacers. If you go with 1.25", note the cautions on stud lengths!! 1.5" seems to be the most popular.

Ahh thank you, I didn't put together that spacers and backspacing went hand in hand! I'll read up on it
