Default Need advice on bumpers

I am in the market for 2 front bumpers, 1 with winch mount, 1 with out. I need 1 rear bumper with tire carrier. I would like to do away with the tire carrier but the mounts are just cost to much. And I need 1 winch with synthetic line. Do I really need a 9000 lb winch? I thouth that is what snatch blocks for for. With all that said any one know who has any bundle deals?

Snatch blocks lose their leverage as you increase the angle from 0* (i.e. straight ahead). They also cut the amount of line you have available in half. Lastly, the price difference between an 8k and 10k winch is maybe $50. Small price to pay.

Good points. never thought about the angle problem.

X2

I see the main benefit of snatch blocks (without leverage gain), when there's no anchor point in front, but at the side or even behind the Jeep.

The lower a winch is mounted, the more effective it is. That's true for any recovery point when the Jeep is pulled forward or backward.
