rough country
I ran one of their budget boost lifts and wasn't impressed, went to a Rock Krawler kit and difference was night and day.
I feel that most will recommend spending the extra money for a high quality lift that you will be happy with.
Rough Country revamped many of their components and shocks a year or two ago, so quality might be better but I will always stand by my Rock Krawler components.

Which specific lift are you looking at?
Some people have no issues with their lifts, others don't like them for one reason or another, and then you will find people that have no experience with RC and just jump on the hate bandwagon.
I guess my perspective is that their lifts are cost effective and fill a niche market, but you can do better if you have the budget. I would suggest reading the threads stuck right to the top of this modified area and getting a handle on the issues caused by lifting, which components are used to fix those issues, and since there may be several ways of accomplishing the same goal, find the positives/negatives so you can make your own decision on which components are right for your needs. (ex. for Caster correction - you can leave it alone, use cam bolts, ca brackets, fixed ca's, or adjustable ca's. Which is right for you?)

I have the RC 3.5" series ii lift. Been on for two years. I have had no issues whatsoever and no regrets going with this kit. Install was easy, it rides good on the street, it flexes good on the trail. Close to 40k miles and still going strong. No leaky shocks, no saggy springs. I didn't need a $2k lift kit and I would buy this one again.

I am running a 3.25" lift from them and I had one leaking shock, so I called em up and sent them a pic of the shock and my original invoice from Morris 4x4 and they sent me a new shock within 2 days. Pretty sweet deal. Plus it rides really well on roads but even better on the trail.
I have the 3.25" lift as well, I've been running it for 4.5years. I recently had an issue with a rear shock and as stated above they sent me a new shock in two days. The ride is good on and off road, people have actually commented how nice the ride quality is.
Good luck,

I think people's issue with RC is more about taller lifts not containing the necessary parts to correct for the height change...not strictly quality of parts.
For a DD I think it's fine at a small lift height. Once you get to the 3-4" range you'll just need more components that aren't included so you'll need to source from other vendors.
Just depends...do you want to get it all in one kit designed to work together or put a bunch together seperately.
