Default 2015 Lift question

Just bought a 2015 unlimited first time I have owned a 4 door and then I have rumors about needing something to do with the exhaust for a lift for flex and what not. So here is my question.

On a 2015 unlimited how much lift can I put in before I have to worry about changing out the drive shafts? Second question what needs to be Done to the exhaust when lifting a new jeep??
I'm not looking at a crazy height for a lift only 2.5" to start. So I can do mild trails nothing overly crazy.

With only a 2.5 lift you should be fine on driveshafts for awhile and sorry but i cant help with your exhaust question.

On a JKU, with 3.5"~4" lift I'd replace the front drive shaft. (On a 2-dr, the rear DS angle becomes problematic and should be replaced.)
On my JKU, I replaced the front DS with JE Reel 1350 (many think that a 1310 would be enough). After about 2 yrs of DD and offroading, there's no problem with the rear DS.

Why do you want 3.5" of lift?

It's the end height I want I like that look with 37's and flat fares I don't want to buy springs twice and it looks good with 33's and stock flares

You can do it for awhile but its not going to be a permanent thing. My Jeep was like this when I got it but shortly after I ripped the boots on the driveshafts and just ran them till they had enough. So if you don't want to spend the money on it eventually I would suggest staying with the 2.5 idea.

With 2012+ JK you can run a 2.5" kit without having to change the exhaust or driveshaft, at least with a TeraFlex kit. Now if you run a 2.5" with longer 3-4" shocks, then you will need to install exhaust spacers (#2610000 TeraFlex) and change the front driveshaft out. Unless you install front limiting straps then you will only need the exhaust spacers.
