Learned of a new product today that I think is pretty cool. Didn't see any information on it from searching the forum. It is a bit expensive but Rhinoracks makes good products.

It is basically like an AEV roof rack except that it mounts to the actual hard top and when you remove your hardtop it stays attached to the hardtop like the MRBP unit. Has internal supports against the back side windows. Photo below of the catalog, prices marked are rough retail (not MSRP on their website). Around $300 for mounts on roof, $900 for support feet and rack.

awesome design, ridiculous pricing. I can get a similar setup from surco for 495.00 all in. If this was even 800 for everything I would think aobut getting it because of the lower profile of it compared to surco. but 956 for the bars, and 1200 for the rack, that's crazy talk.

It's 1200 for the rack, which includes the mounting pads to the roof (all you need to install minus tools). The rack mounts to the supports directly, it does not mount to crossbars. Personally I don't like the lower quality racks like Surco, but they get the job done. This is a much nicer quality product, and I fully agree the price is high.

This is very similar price and quality to the MRBP rack. I believe the MRBP holds more weight, but has a higher profile and a more factory look.

It is an awesome rack. Are you sure about the mounting? looks like it needs the cross bars to work according to their website. The surco rack works great except the high profile.

If it was 1200 bucks for the rack, 3 rail and mounting I probably would go for it. As I want something that's easily removeable for the soft top.

The rack mounts to the feet. There is no crossbar.

Ok, gottcha now. Their website is somewhat confusing. I see how it works now. 1299 for the complete system, getting better. I like it a lot without the side rails for low profile.

I have to see if my dealer can get them. I think its a winner. AEV type rack, but easily swapped for the soft top.
