Default Steering Stabilizer Sleeve Question

Can the sleeve in the stock steering stabilizer be pressed out of the bushing without destroying it?

I bought a Rancho relocation bracket that requires an aftermarket SS but I imagine the stock ss would work without the sleeve.

You definitely want a sleeve in the bushing other wise it won't tighten properly....

The bushing mounts on a stud.

Yeah, just heat the old Steering Stabilizer sleeve up with a torch and press it out.
You could go to The hardware store and hacksaw a galvanized pipe the length you need as well

I bought mine for 2013 Jeep JK. I have no idea if the instructions are any different for the 07-11, but I doubt it. It says in mine that "and if using the factory stabilizer reuse the factory hardware".

But to answer your question about pressing out the sleeve. Yes, it can be done without damaging it.

Quick search shows the amazon link, look at item description, and one of the first reviews.

Just to update on my question, I was able to press out the sleeve using two sockets and a vice without damaging it.
