Default Diesel Swaps: There Are Alternatives

With the heart of VW TDI and the soul of a Jeep Wrangler.. and costing 18K+.. Would you consider doing this before the New Jeep Wrangler CRD is released in 2018 or save that green for the CRD.

I would rather have a diesel conversion done by Bruiser Conversions.

I've always dreamed of doing a diesel swap on our jeep.. But with the larger cummins diesel.. the jeep must be lifted at least 4'' inches. With the TDI conversion, everything remains factory no lift unless you want this as an addon upon a later date. I like this conversation.. just not the price, but everywhere you go.. the price is within the same range.. IF the new Jeep CRD is released and Jeep insiders claim it can go nearly 80 MPG's due to the 8 speed trans.. does the above conversion look any better..

I'm seriously waiting for this kit to be fully released, and to do it yourself it's $10k. Cotybuilt has a great reputation for tj's with lots of happy customers! Why not put a light Diesel engine in that produces nearly 400 lb/ft at 2000rpm and can give you proven 30mpg?

I agree.. But I'm not physically able to do something like this.. and Yes I've spoken (email) with the founder of Coty.. I like his attitude and concepts and very positive person who's looking to change the way most jeepers drive.. I think the main reason I contacted him, was because someone at another forum was doing a Cotybuilt swap on his Brute.. My thought was how difficult was this to transfer or adjust the title to reflect the change. Maryland isn't an easy states to to pass emissions on altered vehicles.
