Default FOX's new IFP/Negative spring bumpstops coming soon!!!!!!!

Packaging advantages:
  • Easily mounts to JK front bump tube.
  • Threads allow easy adjustment of height
  • Fill port allows pressure adjustment from strike pad side

Performance advantages:
  • IFP inside shaft. Connected to rebound side of main piston, so cavitation is
    impossible.
  • Negative spring- reduces the impact felt at initial contact.
  • These two factors work together to make a vast improvement in bumpstop
performance in multi-use vehicles (such as Jeeps and trucks)
  • In a slow hit- A traditional bumpstop is felt and makes a noise at
engagement because it has to overcome the force from the charge
pressure, typically around 200 lbs. The negative spring in the new
bumpstop counters that force, making the force required around 10 lbs.
This means that the bumpstops are not felt during rock crawling and onroad
situations. However as they are collapsed, the force ramps up to
levels higher than traditional bumpstops to prevent bottom-out.
  • During a high speed hit, a traditional bumpstop takes approximately half
its travel to ramp up to full damping force. This is because it is an
emulsion shock- the oil is mixed with nitrogen. The new style shock uses
an IFP (Internal Floating Piston) design, therefore creates full damping
force from initial contact all the way through its travel. This extra force
helps to slow the suspension travel sooner and smoother.
  • In combination, these two features make the new bumpstop design
superior in slow hits and on-road manners, while still having more overall
stopping power for the big hits.

Available in: 2.0" travel, 2.5" travel, JK front kits, and JK rear kits.

I am just in the market for the front air stops and these seem very interesting. Any idea, how soon are these really going to be available to the public? Also, would there be anything else required for install on a JK, except for the front bump tube modification?

$630ish for a pair. I held one and looked it over thoroughly. Quality set for sure.

Not a single unit has shipped but it is eminent. Probably less than 30 days according to the fox rep I spoke to.

Everything should be included in the kit. There should be no other modification required for install besides the bumpstop tube modification.
