Default Let's talk 37x13.5x17 Nitto Mud Grapplers

So I swapped my d30 out, beefed up my 44's and added 4.88 gears for 37s and because I live at 266 ft elevation and its flatter than a pancake most of the time, the rpms are killing me with my 35's. I like the Mud Grapp. but the only 37" and 17" combo comes in the 13.5" wide variety. I only have 4.5" back spacing but am sitting at about 4.5-5" of lift. So the main things I'd like to talk about are:

Weight- I know these are famously heavy tires but do you think the 13.5 will add a significant amount of weight vs a 12.5

Wheelspacers- I really would not like to run them but I have a feeling 4.5" back spacing isn't going to cut it regardless of lift. I can see control arm rubs possibly being an issue, maybe sway bar links in the rear. I'm willing to run spacers untill I get properly BS wheels but what should I be aiming for: 3-3.5" of BS?

If you need to know here's some more info:
Front axle: Trussed/Gusset D44, OEM Locker, 4.88 gears, Teralflex BJ's, OEM Shafts (till they break)
Rear axle: Stock non rubi housing, ARB 35 spline Locker, Chromoly shafts, 4.88 gears

You're going to rub your front frame rail at full lock. Your control arms might rub as well, not sure what you are running. Like you mentioned before your rear links might rub as well.

I just installed 37s and I am rubbing at full lock with 4.5" back spaced rims. I have wheel spacers sitting in my garage but I am waiting to see how bad I rub at full flex before throwing them on. I am running trimmed flares and appropriate bumpstops but my rims are causing issues. If I can get away with slightly adjusting my steering stops then I'll do it but I may end up with spacers. My friend ran 13.5" Toyos, 1.5" spacers with 4.5" back spaced rims without issue.

Good luck. Get the tires and deal with the issues lol. You know you want 37s!

I currently run no bump stops up front and don't rub at all. How bad is the rub at full lock? I also may be making a bead lock purchase and that will solve the problem anyways as I'll be sure to get enough BS. I'm thinking I might buy them and figure it out as I go, eventually I'll probably be making this a buggy. Before, I wanted 37s but when your female friend's jeep is next to you on 37's you magically absolutely NEED them at all costs

The rubbing isn't bad at all but I haven't had a chance to flex it at full lock

Just for comparison. I run 38x15.5x20 Nitto Muds on 20x12 wheels with a 4.75 backspace and never rub. I don't rub lock to lock and even though I haven't taken this one out yet, I've done some poser flexing and didn't rub either.

This is more logical than wanting "BIG TARS" without having your jeep properly set up to run the larger tires. You'll have tons of issues especially on stock arms your pinch seem will look like a demonstration stand at a saw-z-all convention, the 3.8 is sadly asthmatic, your stock drive shafts will quiver just hearing the lug nuts tightening. You should not even consider this.

JUST KIDDING ORDER THEM BITCHES!!!!

BIG TARS FTMFW!!!!!!

I want a nitrous bottle
