I'm looking to get rid of my crappy BFG Mud Terrain tires. I mostly do street driving these days so these are really impractical for me now. They ride rough and they are loud as all get out.

I'll probably get some take offs from craigslist and the options are the Bridgestone Duelers A/T's or the GOODYEAR WRANGLER SR-A 255/75/17.

What do you think is best for a nice smooth quiet ride?

You will probably get a better response on street tires in an FJ forum

Yeha I know LOL but a mans gotta do what a mans gotta do. I'm thinking the Bridgestone's are prob better but in general I like Goodyear over Firestone tires.

If you want to get 5 matching, look for the Goodyear SR-A's, since those may be found cheaper as take-off's. I believe the Duelers were only spec'd on Saharas in an 18" size.

i would look at the duratracs but for a set of 5 you are looking at over $1000 easily. I can get cheap take offs on Cl for next to nothing.

Good point. I do have the 17" Moab rims so I gues I have to go with the SR-A's unless I want to switch to the 18" Sahara Gladiator rim.

You can get an AT tire instead of a street tire. I have Falken Wildpeaks too and I like them a lot. Great on road and good offroad. 285x70x17
