Rotopax for a 2 door - an idea
Hello Everyone,
A problem we have as 2 door Jeep folk is storage! Where do we put everything we want to carry? Perhaps this is not an ideal location since it is sort of inside. I always off-road topless, so this works for me. Keep in mind that you can’t have the Rotopax in place with a soft or hard top in place, but you have the brackets in place all the time. Well, if you had the soft top down, you could have the paxs in place.
What I used:
Rotopax mount
2 inch muffler/exhaust clamp – this gives you a flat surface to mount the bracket to
Teraflex Hilift Jack Mount
A few details:
Drill new holes in the Teraflex mount to match the 2” clamp. Trim the 2” clamp to better match to your roll-bar – look at the clamp and you will understand this. I punched holes in the fabric of the roll-bar cover. I cut a 1/16 inch steel plate to bolt to the back of the Teraflex Mount to better project the bolts (you could weld these two together also). I can take a picture of this if needed.
I put one on each side - water on passage side and gas on the drivers side
Sorry for lack of detail – the pictures should help

Enjoy,
Dale

Rebel Offroad carries something similar...
Modular RotopaX Interior Mount (single) for Jeep Wrangler JK Unlimited

With under 5 minutes of your time you can do this too. 1 gallon fits perfect and doesn't get in the way of anything. I was having a beer one day and thought about this, and it worked so no I've had it in 2dr and now my 4dr. I've had zero issues with it, plus it hinds under Jeep perfect. Only way to see it is if you crawl under Jeep
