3.25 rustys now to a 4" teraflex
So I had a 3.25" rustys lift and I liked it, rode nice and preformed well. I am now running 37s and wanted just abit more lift. After some time and weight the 3.25" lift on my jku was more like 2.75 or 3". So I found a sweet deal on a teraflex 4" kit. Question is now is should I keep the front adjustable trac bar from the rustys or use the Tera one? Is there a difference in quality? And I guess it's a no brainer to us the adjustable rear trac bar from the rustys kit instead of the teraflex bracket. Also how far off are the 3.25" rustys shocks going to be for the 4" kit? ( the 4" didn't come with shocks but it's on my list )
Thanks guys

I had to replace the Rusty's front adjustable track bar because the threads developed slop and caused crazy death wobble. If you have a replacement, I'd use it. The shocks should work reasonably well. For the rear, an adjustable track bar beats a bracket all day.
The Monster has generally favorable reviews for beefiness, if the new lift comes with one, why would you not use it?
Rear brackets can relocate the trackbar to center the axle, they can also raise the trackbar to correct roll center. If your current adjustable can shorten to stock length, use it with the bracket. If not, go back to the stock trackbar.
From TF's website:
Find the specs on the Rusty's shocks and compare them to the specs for the ones TF recommends for their 4" coils. More than likely, they will be extended at normal drive height, limiting downtravel, but giving a bit more uptravel. (Assuming you have enough clearance between the tires and flares).
Do some reading on flips/high steers, unless the 4" kit comes with one.
And keep an eye on the driveshafts for grease splatter.

From TF's website:
This trackbar bracket restores the factory handling and correct roll center for a lifted JK. The bolt-on bracket mounts to the rear axle. This trackbar bracket is recommended for superior drivability to reduce rear body roll tendencies by restoring the proper roll center of the vehicle.

Far from true. A rear trackbar bracket does more for handling than an adjustable trackbar alone. It raises your roll center and reduces axle shift during suspension compression or droop. It is also necessary to run a rear tb bracket if you have a high steer setup, otherwise you will find your Jeep changing lanes every time you hit the gas ( do some research on that one).
Ideally, a raised bracket should be used in conjunction with an adjustable rear trackbar to get the handling benefits and a perfectly centered rear axle.

More research...
Drive it with the taller coils and see what you think. I have the Synergy flip, lots of people like their stuff. But, I don't know if it will work with the Tera trackbar(?) The Artec weld-on stuff is popular. And Teraflex has their own version that uses a frame-side bracket. Some folks prefer axle brackets to frame, but it may be the better option to work with their lift.

Like mentioned above:
Use the rear bracket to raise your rear roll centre and improve handling. An adjustable track bar is not needed but if you have it and the bushings are good then use it as it will allow you to fine tune the rear.
For the front, drive the jeep with the new lift and see how you like it. I put 35,000 km on my jeep running 3" synergy coils without running a high steer kit and it was fine. My stock ends finally wore out so I replaced all the steering components with synergy and the high steer kit is really nice and the jeep does drive better. If you are on a budget, the high steer can wait but it's all personal preference.
Good luck and enjoy it!
