I have an opportunity to purchase an 07 4dr Sahara that needs an engine for REALLY cheap! The cheapest I've found an engine is like 2,200 used. Anyone know of a cheaper route? Can any other 3.8 liter engine bolt into a JK?

 

You have to put a motor in it anyhow. If I were close by id kick you for saying 3.8. you've got to dig in anyhow, go for a V8

 

I knew that was coming... but it will be for the wife I have a 2013 2dr that I wheel. I need quick cheap and easy!

 

I would check with MOTECH and JSS to see if they have any low mileage swap cores they could sell you. Love it when people are looking for a low cost engine and everyone says to put a V8 in it, $2.2k vs $10k to 20k for a V8 conversion yea thats cheap.
