it's quite interesting trick indeed. We don't really have a badland, but we do have a lot of other reliable winch brands like Warn, Rugged Ridge etc. check it out here: Jeep Bumper Winches at CARiD.com

Just one thing:
Notice that he screws the shackles' pins tight. This way, when the winch pulls, the threading on the pins & shackles are under stress.
The correct way, is screwing the pin all the way in, then turning it back 1/4 turn.
The threading will be loose just enough to prevent stress.
