Default Will older Wrangler half doors fit in the hinge slots for JK?

I'm trying to get a truck build this summer with rear half doors and a duster cover with extension. There are a handful of cheap soft half doors on craigslist but they're all the front doors for CJ/YJ/TJ models. Does anyone know if the door hinges on those will fit in a JK/JKU's door hinge? I'm not sure how far apart the hinges or are if the pin is larger/thinner on the older Wranglers.

I don't want to spend $250 for the Bestop wire hanger doors or Smittybilt SRC tube doors everyone says don't fit. Rather spend $80-100 and modify it so it's shorter to fit the rear, fill in the gaps with padding, and use bungee cord to keep it shut because the latch won't close. Is this possible?

Here are the types of doors I'm seeing for cheap:

I did find a forum where a guy loaded pics of what looks like an older model half door fit in his 2 door JK but there wasn't any information about it. Not sure if it's just this door, if it's only CJ/YJ/TJ that are compatible, or if they're all universal and just won't close.

Or would I be better off fabricating my own? Looks like for $50 you can get 4 hinges online, another $50 for 4"x2" sheet metal, cut it with tin snips, and $15 for car door tube seal?

It's not just the hinge that's an issue. Even if they do fit, the door strikers are completely different.

Not even close to the same shape for fitting. I built a custom set of half doors for mine. Your concept of this ones that you can cut with tin snips sound like a waste of time. If I were you I'd buy the right ones.

Here are what I built.
