Default 305/70r17 on 2012 sport

Aloha, I have a 2012 JK Sport with a 2" spacer kit on it. I am contemplating putting on 305/70r17's and wonder if anyone has advise on that. My concerns are will I need do additional modifications to prevent rubbing from turning / flexing? Is this an appropriate size tire overall? And are there additional concerns with performance that I should factor in first? Thanks, Ken

I assume the 2" spacer kit is related to the suspension and not wheel spacer... Another question that needs to be answered is are you running factory wheels or aftermarket (backspacing is the biggest issue). If you have a 2" lifting spacer and an aftermarket wheel with the proper backspacing them a 305/70 17 will be fine.

Thanks! When purchasing aftermarket wheels, how is the spacing determined?

You should look for a wheel that has 4.5" backspacing. Most wheels advertised will give you the backspacing ( in inches).

This is only picture I have at the moment. I am running a 1.75" coil spacer in the front and a 3/4" coil spacer in the rear along with BFG KM2 305/70 17's. I did experience a little rubbing in the rear before I chopped my factory flares. Now all is good. If you have a 2" on all four corners I would think you'll be fine without chopping your fenders.

That's solid... Looks great on your Jeep! Did you mod anything on the tailgate to mount the spare? Does the tire sit further out then the flare after you cut it?
