New Flowmaster 50 Series Muffler
I had previously removed the stock JK exhaust on my 2012 and put in a Dynomax VT muffler before the rear axle. That muffler is supposed to prevent the droning that is so prevalent in the 3.6L but the problem is that the mechanism they use (a spring loaded valve) is much worse than the drone itself. It made the JK sound like it had a head gasket leak with a constant clicking and puffing sound.
I looked around for a while and finally decided that I needed to try a larger muffler that would still allow for some sound but wouldn't be obnoxious either. After trying a few I tried out a Flowmaster Series 50 stainless muffler. At first it was louder than I had wanted but once I put a turndown on the end (just in front of the rear axle) I can tell you it's a perfect muffler for the 3.6L. A deep rumble at lower RPM with minimal drone at highway speeds.

What was the P/N on the VT muffler, by chance?
Thanks
