Default Tuffy Cargo Locking Cubby Cover

Hi guys! Anyone has this installed in a 2015 2 door JK? I'm thinking about getting one. Want to see if there are any issues relating to it as far as installation and fitting goes on a 2015.

As long as you don't have the alpine stereo i don't see why it wouldn't work just fine

I don't have the alpine stereo. I read on another forum that they were having issues with the lid having such a tight fitment it dented and scratched up the cargo door really bad. The thread was from a few years ago and I haven't found any comments on newer models. Just wanting to see if anyone actually have this on '14 or '15 and have that issue.

Ok. This lid works best for my needs. I guess I will either find another solution or be the guinea pig for this year's model.

Anyone else know anything about this locking lid please chime in!

I'm thinking of buying one for my 2 door 2015 JK also. Let me know how you make out. I bought the Tuffy glove box. The install was a bit tricky but not too bad. It did rattle a bit so I had to add foam weather stripping.

Does not closing and locking tail gate keep it locked down. Least mine it does. You could 1/8" steel plate, take stock cover, trace onto steel , cut and add hinges. Tail gate will keep locked down.

Fits my 2014 just fine. I had to tweak the mounting points for the catch assembly due to the interior being line-x'd. But other than that, no issues.

Can you confirm that your tailgate door didn't get dented or scratched? Mainly on the driver side. That was my concern since a bunch of people said that happened and it was big dent and scratched down to bare metal.

It does. I have a soft top. Jut want a little extra security when I leave the doors unlock. So if someone were gonna break in I would rather them just open the doors instead of cutting my windows.

I sure did! And I actually love that it would give me more space. But after some thoughts the cubby would be best for my situation. This idea is still a plan B though.
