Default Regearing with Rubicon Lockers

In a few weeks I will be regearing my '14 Rubicon from 4.10 to 4.88 to better suit my 37's.
The question I have is will the stock lockers still fit in the diff's or will I need to go with aftermarket lockers. I intend on swaping to ARB Lockers eventually but need to wait a little for that. I bought the gears and I'm having the work done at a reputable 4x4 shop, but they didn't mention anything about the lockers. Am I just being overly worrisome the closer it comes to the work?

you'll be fine. The lockers do not grow during the gear swap process. Arb
Lockers I think only have a 35 spline version for the rubi housings so you'll need to replace your axle shafts if or when you do switch.

Nothing wrong with the stock lockers. Beats pinching or breaking an air hose. Also, it is about the same labor cost as doing gears. Do it with the gears or don't do it. I had no trouble blowing a 4.88 gear front D44. Locker was perfectly fine as were the RCV shafts.

I went from 4.10 to 5.38 on my Rubi. No issues with the lockers except for the sensor. It appears they are very fragile and susceptible to damage.

Make sure the shop has a couple spares on hand.

Otherwise.... go for it.

I switched also to 4.88s with 35s; best upgrade you can do. I also put G2 axle shafts in during the process - no issue with front or rear rubi lockers. Save your money and forget about ARBs :-)
