Default Light weight bumpers for JK

I'm looking for lite weight front and rear bumper for my Jeep. So far Poison Spyder bumpers are on the top of the list. Any other suggestions?

Check GenRight, they have lightweight aluminum bumpers and or steel bumpers as well.

Rugged ridge is pretty light for the front and stripping the rear bumper of the plastic is a cheap and inexpensive route for the rear

I took off my back bumper when i install my Or-fab rotopax/ tire carrier and love the look of no bumper in back so i added a couple potent back up lights and called it good..how's that for light weightClick image for larger version

Wrong line of thinking right there. Stock bumpers are designed to reduce the damage to your Jeep and they are ment to be easily replaced, if you put them to that use. Steel bumper on the other hand doest not reduce any of the impact force to your car as it passes it on right to the body. This means that all hits are taken directly by you body, which may bend, based on the force of the impact. Do I have to mention its significantly more of a hassle to replace the body than the plastic bumper?
