Default Drag Link vs. Tie Rod upgrade?

Wanting to upgrade my drag link and tie rod from stock to heavy duty but don't have the $ to do both. I've got a 4" lift with 35's, new track bar and heavy duty ball joints. Which one would you recommend I do 1st and what moderately priced brands do you recommend?

I would do the draglink flip kit from synergy and knock out 2 birds with one stone. What's your rear trackbar situation.?

I went with the 1 ton moog tie rod on pitman arm side. Big dodge pickups use them.

Check the joints on both, that might give you some insight on which to replace first. If they are all still good, just flip a coin.

Who's trackbar did you go with? Decide if you are going to flip, and what type of setup you will go with, before you start mix n matching stuff. Some components don't play nice with other mfg's products.

If the joints are good and everything else is straight then leave it alone until you need it.

If you feel you have excessive bump steer with a 4" lift and don't have your drag link flipped then get a high steer kit. But like mentioned above do your homework because not all manufacturers make parts that work with other manufacturers.

Synergy is your best bet when it comes to JK steering components. Decent price and their stuff is awesome. My whole front end is from them and I have zero complaints.

Good luck

You meant to link something?

I have all Synergy components up front as well. Good stuff. You can run it in the stock locations, then drill the knuckle, and the bracket, and flip later on. But again, are you planning on flipping? If so, who's adj trackbar do you have? Synergy redesigned their own trackbars to work with their flips. This setup may not work...

That will work in the stock location. If/when you decide to flip it, you drill the knuckle and move it to the top. You will also add the trackbar bracket that you see suggested toward the middle of that page. That will raise the axle end of the trackbar to keep it parallel to the new draglink location. But as mentioned several times, some trackbars are bent the wrong way to work with this setup...

Thanks for the info. I'm running a new Rubicon Express track bar...is it bent correctly to flip it? Also, what about the steering stabilizer will it attach to the new drag link/tie rod?
